Mr. Joe believed that welcoming new friends made their village happier and more prosperous. He thought that his friends from Japan, along with others, could be even happier if they liked making new friends too. But, Mr. Joe’s words made some people puzzled, and he had to explain that he just wanted everyone to be friendly and happy. In the end, Mr. Joe and his friends kept talking, hoping to understand each other better.
