A Story About NC’s Leader and a Concern About a Team-Up Adventure

Once upon a time, in a place called Washington, the leader of North Carolina, Mr. Cooper, had a chance to go on a grand adventure with Ms. Harris to help run a big country. But Mr. Cooper was worried about a friend back home, who liked to make lots of rules, wanting to take over while he was gone. Mr. Cooper thought hard and decided it wasn’t the best time for him and his home, North Carolina, to join this adventure. He wanted to make sure everything at home stayed happy and safe while he looked after it. He believed in Ms. Harris to choose the best companion for her journey. Meanwhile, the friend he worried about, Mr. Robinson, had some very different ideas about how to lead. As the story unfolds, Mr. Cooper stayed by his home, making sure it remained a nice place for everyone. And so, Mr. Cooper’s tale reminds us of the importance of thinking about our homes and the people we take care of. Moral to the story: Sometimes, the greatest adventures are the ones we choose not to take.
